Big science delivered with loud “whoa, really?!” energy — my curious one out-facts me before we've even left the driveway.
What Wow in the World is recognised for
Staff pick
On our hand-picked "where to start" list. Chosen by us, not computed — these are the shows we would hand a parent who is new to this.
Most reviewed
At least 400 written parent reviews. These are the shows with the deepest body of first-hand experience behind them.
Binge-worthy
Rated 4.6 or better AND 300+ episodes. Episode count alone says nothing — plenty of shows are long and mediocre — so this is the two together: worth getting into, with somewhere to go.
Our note — best for: The kid who asks why about everything
Science, delivered at full volume by two hosts who commit completely. Energetic rather than calming — better for a car than for bedtime.
Every distinction here is either computed from the whole catalogue or picked by us and labelled as such. How each one is decided

How to read this: each number is how many reviews raised that topic in their own words — not a percentage or a score. Bars compare topics within a box only, so the longest bar is whatever came up most here, marked Top. The dots above show how much evidence we have, not how good the show is.

ENCORES
Wow in the World is doing more encores instead of new episodes now. I’m sure I have not been the only one who has noticed this problem. At first, I thought wow in the world was preparing for something big and that’s why they couldn’t make any new episodes at the moment. Now, I feel like they’re just trying to sell us short and make the everyone try to listen to encore after encore. To be fair, before this, I was an avid listener to the show, and I enjoyed learning about new science discoveries and experiments. I am disappointed that they have not put out anything new for we wow on the weekend or two what’s and a wow. Hopefully Wow in the world will add more new episodes and content, but at this moment I am giving it 1 star.
