Why we featured Nighttime Nathan: Stories For Kids
This is our own editorial pick, in our own words — not a review.
- Original, not licensedEvery world and character is written for the show, rather than an audio spin-off of something that already exists.
- Proper world buildingEpisodes build out a place with its own rules and running characters, so kids who stick with it get rewarded for paying attention.
- Plenty to bingeA deep back catalogue, which matters when you need a long car journey covered and not a four-episode series that runs out.
- Wholesome humourJokes land for kids without the sarcasm or toilet humour creeping in — and grown-ups get a few of their own.
- Like an audio cartoonFull character voices, sound design and pacing closer to a Saturday-morning cartoon than someone reading a book aloud.
- Songs kids actually requestOriginal music written for each story. Be warned: they lodge in your head for weeks.
- No AIWritten, voiced and scored by people. Nothing here is machine-generated.
- Made by real parentsA small independent studio started by parents making the show they wanted for their own kids.
